About us

Where Aonios is going, and where it came from: ten years of operating judgement, and the goal it is all pointed at.

Vision

A standard any business can run on. One that any business, in any country and any industry, can adopt, and that carries logic, reasoning and the best-known path through a workflow, not only the ability to perform a task.

Why a standard, not just software

A task-doer asks what do I do next? A standard asks what is the right thing to do here, and why?, and can be held to the answer afterwards. Every rule the agents follow is written down, versioned and improvable, and applied the same way on every property, at three in the afternoon and at three in the morning.

Mission

100% business automation. Every function in a business that a person could otherwise do with a computer or a telephone, carried by an agent instead. Not the easy tier of it: the whole of it.

Why profit, not just efficiency

Most automation is sold on cost: the same output, fewer people. That is the smaller half, and it is the half that runs out. An operator who is not spending the evening answering messages can take on the next building, and a standard that knows the best-known path takes the better one every time, on every property. Efficiency is what makes the bill worth paying. The point is what happens after.

Where it came from

The roots go back more than ten years, to Toronto, and to an operator running a system that held together only as well as people could remember it.

Everything the agents know was written down first: as a working record, then as a management course, and now as the Aonios Library they run on.

The full story

Aonios did not start as an artificial intelligence company. It started as an operator with a problem that no amount of hiring would fix: a system that could not be perfected, because it ran on people.

Not because the people were bad at their jobs. Because a system made of people forgets. It forgets the thing it was told in March. It forgets the exception agreed with one owner and not with another. It forgets how this exact situation was handled the last time, so it handles it differently, and the difference costs something.

The early days of short-term rentals sharpened all of it. The calls at two in the morning. Dozens of virtual assistants hired, trained, corrected and lost, each one taking with them everything they had been taught. The business logic lived in one head and in a thousand scattered conversations, and nowhere it could be handed to anyone.

So it was written down. Every interaction, every correction, every rule that turned out to matter: first as a working record, then as the Markos Management Course, and now as the Aonios Library, the source of truth the agents run on.

Aonios was not built only to take repetitive work off a desk. It was built so that nothing is forgotten again: a decision made once is made the same way every time after.
